Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions we are frequently asked

 Q. IS THERE A MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD?
A. In most cases you can hire for 1 x 24 hour day but in some cases, especially summer/peak season the minimum period is 3 days hire
Q. IS THERE A MAXIMUM RENTAL PERIOD?
A. You can hire for any period from 1 day to 4 weeks. Any period longer than 4 weeks is considered long term hire and only available in certain locations and with certain restrictions and service/maintenance conditions in place
Q. HOW MUCH NOTICE SHOULD I GIVE BEFORE RESERVING?
A. As much as possible - as soon as you know where you want to ride and what dates, that is the time to book the bike(s) - and best to do this before you book flights, accommodation etc because bikes can run out very quickly in some locations and some dates.

Q. WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO HIRE A MOTORCYCLE?
A. For all bikes over 125cc you will need a full motorcycle licence. For bikes 125cc and under and for scooters a car licence is usually enough.
You will also need a passport and credit card (for insurance deposit) and in some cases 1 further proof of ID with home address, this can be a utility bill or bank statement etc.
If you are hiring a motorcycle in the EU (most European countries) and you are from outside of the EU, you will need an international licence, translated to English German, Spanish or French
Q. WHAT ARE THE AGE RESTRICTIONS?
A. This can vary in different location, but a general guide is - over 18 for 125cc, over 21 for up to 650cc and over 25 for over 650cc - there are a few exceptions, so if you are in doubt, please ask us.

Q. DO YOU OFFER GROUP MOTORCYCLE RENTAL?
A. Yes, this is and area we specialise in. we can hire to groups up to 15 bikes, but this is only possible from a few hub rental offices in major cities. So if your group is over 8 riders then please contact us and we can let you know what is possible
Q. CAN I HIRE IN ONE PLACE AND DROP OFF AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION?
A. We call this one way rental and it is possible in some places with the addition of a transport/one way fee dependant on the distance between pick up and drop off locations - please contact us with your request.
Q. HOW OLD ARE THE BIKES?
A. In most cases the bikes are changed about every 2-4 years depending on the mileage (Km) they have covered. Most bikes are current dealer models with basic level specification well maintained and regularly serviced. However, in more remote places, warm climate or less developed countries the bikes can be a little older
