Quepos Tour #2
|Itinerary: Quepos Tour #2
|Day 1 - Sunday
Arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica. You will be picked up by a member of the MotoAdventures staff and will be transferred to the Hotel Marriott Courtyard, located in Escazu. Depending on your time of arrival, you can take an opportunity to visit the city as there is a direct shuttle from the hotel to downtown every 30 minutes. Good hydration is recommended this first day in preparation for your ride. Day 2 - Monday
Ride from Escazu to Jaco beach (Pacific Coast). This day includes a very mountainous ride, forest with trails that includes many river crossings, trails that go uphill, and downhill ,many have high berms in the corners making them a unique type of trail. We will have lunch in the town of Santa Marta and from there we take the airplane trail (above the clouds). The Airplane Trail will take us to Carara National Park where we will ride through rainforest trails that naturally form a motocross track that runs for approximately 20 miles, leaving us close to the Best Western Hotel at Jaco Beach. Day 3 - Tuesday
Depart Jaco Beach for beautiful Quepos on the Pacific Ocean. MotoAdventures uses various routes through the coastal jungles of Costa Rica to reach Quepos from Jaco. The ride includes jungle and river crossings and mountainous areas. We'll stay overnight in Quepos on the beach. Day 4 - Wednesday
Return to Jaco Beach using a completely different route riding north through the jungle. Overnight at Jaco Beach at the same resort. Day 5 - Thursday
Free beach day in Jaco to enjoy the local activities, the ocean, the pool or just watch the bikinis on the beach. Day 6 - Friday
Ride from Jaco Beach to San Jose, taking a different route than the one used to arrive at Jaco. We first ride a portion of the classic two day enduro trails that starts our climb towards San Jose, again through some rain forests trails that have many river and stream crossings, taking us to the town of Puriscal for lunch. From Puriscal, we take the Skyline Trail to Colon City (very scenic). We finish our ride by climbing the trails of Colon City towards San Jose using many trails with berms on the way up making a fast single trail climb a lot of fun and one of the favorite trails of the riders who come to ride with us. We will overnight at the Marriott Courtyard hotel in San Jose. Day 7 - Saturday
Free day in San Jose, good day to take one of the many tours available, the most recommended and almost a must is white water rafting, a very good way to finish an exciting vacation, there also is the canopy tour, Aerial Rain Forest Tram, Arenal Lake and Volcano, coffee tour, Poas volcano tour and many more. If you wish we will transport you and your gear from the Hotel to the airport for your return home.
