Southern Italy & Sicily Tour
Highlights
The most beautiful and unknown part of Italy including Florence, Rome, Amalfi, Capri island, crossing the Stretto of Messina by ferry , without forgetting to climb the Etna volcano, in Sicily, visiting Taormina. Is a tour for people that want to see the whole Italy in 14 days and have un idea of our country and come back again !

The group of between 8 and 12 people will be lead by 1 guide driving the van, for more than 12 people there will be 2 guides, one in the van and one with a motorcycle.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Rome - sunday 
Day of meeting at the hotel in Rome. Welcome dinner

Day 2 - Rome - Amalfi - km 250
From Rome to Amalfi stopping in Ercolano to visit one of the most beautiful remaining of the Roman Empire: the town was covered by the Vesuvio ash during the big eruption of the 79 a.D. Arrival in Amalfi for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Amalfi coast - km 100
Easy day of visit and relax along the Amalfi coast visiting Positano, Sorrento and the beautiful villages of the area.


Day 4 - Amalfi - Scalea - km 250
Following the Gulf of Policastro, the road runs near the sea, climbing hills and returning to sea level: Agropoli, Palinuro, Marina di Camerota, beautiful places wordlwide known. Arrival in Scalea for dinner and overnight.


Day 5 - Scalea - Soverato - km 300
Across Sila, a wonderful  Highland up to 2.000 metres of altitude touching Cosenza and the Tirrenian Sea again, crossing the region arrivin on the Ionian Coast in Soverato for overnight, twisties all day.

Day 6 - Soverato - Taormina -  Km 250
Southward through the wonderful inland of Calabria, unknown and inhabited, to Villa san Giovanni catching the ferry to cross the Messina Channel proceeding to Messina and Taormina.

Day 7 - Relax in Taormina, wonderful magic place facing the Etna volcano and the Mediterranean sea.

Day 8 - Taormina - Agrigento - km 280

Through inland Sicilia: wonderful hills and valleys, reaching again the sea at Agrigento not before having touched the top of the Etna volcano.


Day 9 - Agrigento - Palermo - km 250
Morning visit to the Valley of Temples, then we will cross Sicily from south to north, stopping in Segesta for another astonishing visit to this greek temple.

We will be in the Middle Age village of Erice for our dinner and overnight.

 

Day 10 - Palermo and ferry to Rome - km 150
Morning transfer to Palermo where we will park our bikes in a safe place and after lunch we will have a city tour of this incredible city.

We will be back to get our bike in time to board our ferry to Civitavecchia and Rome.
Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 11 - Civitavecchia - Rome - km 100 

Morning arrival in Civitavecchia and transfer to our hotel in Rome. Free afternoon to enjoy this wonderful Ancient World Capital.

Day 12 - Rome 

Morning visit with a local guide to the major archelogical sites in Rome, back to our hotel for lunch.

Free afternoon for shopping and relax.

Day 13 - Departure day - friday
After breakfast, time at leisure until the transfer time to the airport and departure.


Motorcycle rental is not included in the price for the above tour. The following motorcycles are available for hire. Whilst we cannot guarantee the exact bike due to circumstances often beyond our control, we will endeavor to offer a bike of the same class
