Day 1 — Phnom Penh to Sen Monorom
Head to the south-eastern hills of Mondulkiri province. Asphalt/Dirt; 6 hours riding time, 380 kilometres.

Day 2 — Busra Waterfalls
Leave Phnom Penh in the morning and head to Kompong Thom along the Mekong river road. Asphalt/Dirt; 5 hours riding time, 250 kilometres.

Day 3 — Sen Monorom to Rattanakiri
Head north on the "Death Highway" through remote mountain hamlets and scarcely inhabited forest. Dirt/Sand; 7 hours riding time, 300 kilometres.

Day 4 — Rattanakiri to Stung Treng
Explore the crystal clear volcano lake and vast Virachey National Park in Rattanakiri before heading west to the sleepy river town of Stung Treng.Dirt; 3 hours riding time, 180 kilometres.

Day 5 — Stung Treng to T'bang Meanchey
After spending the night in Stung Treng, the journey heads further west through tropical forest and over abused logging roads to the capital of Preah Vihear Province, T'bang Meanchey. Dirt; 7 hours riding time, 160 kilometres.

Day 6 — T'Bang Meanchey to Preah Vihear
The road north to the temple of Preah Vihear travels through heavy sand, and technical signgletrack snaking through pristine jungle.Sand/Dirt; 7 hours riding time, 160 kilometres.

Day 7 — Preah Vihear to Siem Reap via Bantey Srey
The road to Siem Reap passes one of the best preserved temples, the Bantey Srey, or Citadel of Women, known for its intricate and elaborate carvings.

Day 8 — Siem Reap
Spend the day visiting Angkor Wat and Siem Reap attractions. Microlight flights available.

Day 9 — Siem Reap to Pailin via Phnom Malai
The road east to Sisophon and then Battambang offers more panoramas of rural Cambodian life. From Battambang on to Pailin, the road deteriorates into undulating moonscape, offering perfect passageway for the dirt bike enthusiast. Dirt/Asphalt; 6 hours riding time, 260 kilometres.

Day 10 — Pailin to Veal Vaeng
For both man and motorcycle the track to Veal Vaeng is one of the country's toughest. Technical single tracks turns to deep sand and back again, winding it's way through thick brush and dense forest. Dirt/Sand; 6 hours riding time, 180 kilometres.

Day 11 — Veal Vaeng to Koh Kong
More of the same Dirt/Dirt/Dirt/Sand/Sand/Sand; 8 hours riding time, 160 kilometres.

 

Day 12 — Koh Kong to Sihanouville
After the previous two days journey, Day 12 is a relative cakewalk along well-travelled, relatively well-kept road. Dirt/Asphalt; 4 hours riding time, 240 kilometres.

Day 13 — Sihanouville
Leave the motorcycle at the hotel and spend the day relaxing on the beach.

Day 14 — Sihanouville to Bokor Mountain
Head to higher ground at Bokor Mountain. At 1080 metres it is one of Cambodia's coolest spots.Asphalt/Rocky; 3 hours riding time, 160 kilometres.

Day 15 — Bokor to Phnom Penh
The road home is a smooth one, and after 15 days on the road, the comforts of Phnom Penh (air-con, hot water and fine food) are universally appreciated. Trust us.Asphalt; 5 hours riding time, 180 kilometres.
